Birds passing through

15 September 2011

Most of the seabirds have gone but there is still plenty of bird life to see.

Lots of waders are passing through:

Safety in numbers - feeding togetherSnipe foraging in the meadowOn the beachGolden plovers at the top of the hillWader walking on the road

Wildfowl come and very quickly go:

Swan landing in Village Bay - taking shelter from the stormQuick stopover and away, goose on a rainy dayDucks in Village Bay

And a passerine occasionally needs rescuing from inside a building so that it can go on its way again:

Rescue a wagtail!
