Having put our boots and waterproofs in the drying room overnight and wrung out the socks hoping they'd be ready for another day, we awoke to glorious sunshine. Surveying in clear sunshine is so much easier, we just have to remember to slap on that sunscreen. Hopefully the high pressure will remain for a few days and we can get round all the monuments and areas of archaeological interest in comfort. The sunshine has also brought probably the last of the summer visitors too. A couple of boats arrived in the Bay with divers on board, here to enjoy the excellent diving in the clear waters around Hirta and Boreray.
