Squib's getting BIG!

Two away, one to go!  Puddle and Squeak have left their nest boxes after 60+ days leaving Squib as the last of our chicks to fledge.  He's growing fast but it will still be another week or so before he is the correct weight and size to leave the safety of his box and head out to sea.  Monitoring these three chicks over the last few months has been an interesting experience; I've collected lots of data which I can now start to analyse and it's been enjoyable to see the chicks change from little fluff balls into feathered streamlined flying machines.Squib the petrel chick 18 days oldSquib the petrel chick - look how big he is
