Lots of lambs

13 May 2011

The researchers from the Soay Sheep Project have now left the island after a very busy lambing trip.  The 'sheepie' team caught 161 lambs that were born within the Village Bay study area - a massive total and a job well done!  The lambs are surprisingly fast and I am tired just thinking about all the running the team did.

As an ex-sheepie, I was very pleased to join a catch and I received a gold star as reward for catching the lamb!

I caught a lamb!
